Snap says it's going to start paying top creators

Snap says it's going to pay top creators, similarly to how YouTube incentivizes people to create videos in exchange for ad revenue. In prepared quarterly remarks, CEO Evan Spiegel said the company had "neglected the creator community on Snapchat that creates and distributes public Stories for the broader Snapchat audience."
Over the next year, he said the service would build out more distribution and monetization options. He said the company might make professional tools available, and generally, would facilitate sharing beyond friend groups.
For comparison, YouTube allows anyone with over 10,000 channel views to make money off ads. Other social platforms, like Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter have no formal system in place for creators to make money. Instead, they rely on sponsored posts. This could make Snapchat a more lucrative and appealing platform, but with only 178 million daily active users, creators' potential reach is far less. Vine died because its user base was small, and Twitter delayed its rollout of promoted, sponsored content.

First production Tesla Model 3 expected Friday, Elon Musk says

Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced that the first production model of the hotly anticipated Model 3, the company’s attempt to bring an electric car to the masses, is expected on Friday. The first 30 Model 3 customers will receive their new Teslas on the 28th at a handover party, according to a second tweet from Musk. Production is then expected to grow exponentially: 100 cars in August, more than 1,500 by September, and then 20,000 per month by December.

News of SN1 (Serial Number 1) came in a tweet on Sunday night:

Musk then confirmed the production ramp-up in two followup tweets.

Tesla is expected to dramatically increase Model 3 production in 2018 with total Tesla vehicle production approaching 500,000 units annually. The Model 3 already has over 400,000 pre-orders with Tesla’s rabid fanbase clamoring for any glimpse or tidbit of news related to the upcoming vehicle.
The Model 3 was first unveiled over a year ago at a lavish event at Tesla’s headquarters in Hawthorne, California. At the time, Musk said he was "fairly confident" that deliveries will begin by the end of 2017, and "you will not be able to buy a better car for $35,000, even with no options."
At a shareholder meeting last month, Musk said the first Model 3 customers would be limited in their ability to customize their orders — basically just color and wheel type. “I should say that we’ve kept the initial configurations of the Model 3 very simple,” Musk said. “A big mistake we made with the X, which is primarily my responsibility — there was way too much complexity right at the beginning. That was very foolish.”

Tesla’s sky-high valuation — it recently surpassed BMW’s market cap — depends largely on Musk’s ability to sell his vision of sustainable, battery-powered driving to a much broader population. The two current Tesla vehicles, the Model S and Model X, are both extremely expensive. Even with tax incentives, both cars easily push $100,000. The Model 3 will start at $35,000, making it the cheapest in Tesla’s range.
In order for Tesla to sell ten times as many cars as it does now, it needs a much cheaper automobile. That's the Model 3. It's the future of the company.

An Unbeatable Prodigy!

At the age of 14, while you may have been preparing for your board exams or extra-curriculum activities to gain extra marks; this teen is garnering rave reviews for his brilliant creation that has the potential to help the country in the long run. Looking dapper in his blue suit at the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit held yesterday, Harshwardhan Zala signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) worth Rs. 5 crore with the state government. The teenage inventor struck a deal with the Department of Science and Technology in Gujarat, to facilitate production of drones which can help detect and defuse land mines in war zones. Woah, this class 10th kid is definitely way ahead of his time and looks like he can beat Spy Kids’ Juni Cortez, in terms of intelligence.

While other children his age might have been chilling and playing, he was working on three prototypes of the drone and furthering his business plan. More than the drone, it is the idea behind the creation that’s winning people’s hearts. “The inspiration struck when I was watching television and learned that a large number of soldiers succumb to injuries sustained due to landmine blasts while defusing them manually,” said Zala who started working on the prototype in 2016. Reportedly, Zala spent Rs. 5 lakh on the prototypes – the first two were financed (Rs. 2 lakh) by his parents while the third one was funded (Rs. 3 lakh) by the state.

So, what’s so special about this drone? According to Zala, it is “equipped with infrared, RGB sensors and thermal meter along with a 21-megapixel camera with a mechanical shutter that can take high resolution pictures as well.” Further, the drone is capable of sending out waves that can over 8 sq. meters while flying two feet above the surface. Zala further added, “The drone also carries a bomb weighing 50 gram that can be used to destroy the landmine.”
This young prodigy has already set up his own company called ‘Aerobotics’ and registered a patent under his name. A student of Sarvoday Vidhyamandir, Bapunagar, Zala started making drones on his own and also set up an interface with a base station. He later fixed payloads that are capable of detecting landmines. Zala was inspired to get his product patented after a visit to the Google headquarters in the US.
This MoU is definitely a stepping stone towards success for Zala and we hope that this dream of his comes true.
this is one of the best things NOTICED by me that Indians are highly determined and focused in comparison !!! such examples are the reasons that INDIA is been respected and people of India are proud to be a part of it.
